Mission Statement:  “The Fat Rights Coalition seeks to establish and defend equal rights and opportunities for all people regardless of weight or body size.”

Current Focus:   The FRC is the organization behind the website Big Fat Blog. This is a site is a multi-authored collaboration that allows the writers and readers to come together to focus on different aspects of the size acceptance movement such as issues related to the movement, current issues that affect fat people and to plan grassroots activism.

Other Notes:  One of the more unique aspects of the Fat Rights Coalition is its Think Tanks. For those who do not know, a think tank is a group of people with a common interest who discuss issues and strategies to resolve these issues. In the FRC Think Tanks, common issues related to fat acceptance are discussed by “smart folks (who) come together to discuss what the movement and Fat Rights can do.”
